Architect Edition Launched
The most important event of the year for
CodeFutures was the launch of its flagship Architect
Edition in September. FireStorm/DAO Architect
Edition
offers all of the features of the Enterprise and
Standard editions but also allows new custom code
generation templates to be developed and integrated
with the FireStorm/DAO Studio environment.
CodeFutures includes the source code for the code
generation templates of all the Enterprise Edition DAO
options (JDBC, EJB CMP, JDO) as part of the
Architect Edition.

The data access architecture for an eCommerce site
was upgraded using FireStorm/DAO and a new
merchandising platform was also implemented in half
the time it normally would take due to the new data
access architecture. "The chaos was almost
exclusively centered on data access to the Oracle
database." explains Cris Daniluk, Vice President of
Technology, DSNet.
