PRESS RELEASE

CodeFutures Announces FireStorm/DAO Early Access Program

[14 January 2003, London] CodeFutures today announced the beta program for the FireStorm/DAO Code Generator for Java and J2EE.

FireStorm/DAO is a Java development tool that generates high quality Java source code for accessing data stored in a relational database schema. FireStorm generates a complete persistence tier based on the Data Access Object (DAO) design pattern and offers the choice of generating implementation code using the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API or Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) Entity Beans.

"Developers love writing code - except when it comes to repetitive JDBC statements or J2EE deployment descriptors", commented Andy Grove, CEO of CodeFutures. "Using a tool such as FireStorm/DAO, a developer can generate complete data-access code in just a few minutes and get started on the more creative aspects of software development."

FireStorm will be available for download from March 2003. To join the early access program visit /firestorm/beta
