FireStorm/DAO 3.2 RELEASE NOTES
The main new feature of this release is support for EJB 3.0 and the Java Persistence API (JPA).
The other focus of this release is to improve product quality through extensive testing and bug fixing. There are some significant changes to functionality in this release and in some cases functionality has been removed.

Supported Platforms
Supported Databases and JDBC Drivers
FireStorm/DAO should work with most JDBC compliant databases and JDBC drivers. However, the following combinations are officially supported:
- MySQL 5.0.27 using MySQL Connector/J version 5.0.3
- Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 using SQLJ JDBC Driver version 9.2.0.8
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 using JDBC Driver version 1.1
- Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 15 using jConnect JDBC Driver version 6.0
- DB2 9 using DB2 Universal UDB JDBC Universal Driver version 9
Supported Application Servers
FireStorm/DAO should work with most J2EE compliant application servers. However, the following are offically supported:
- Apache Tomcat 5.5.20
- BEA WebLogic Server 9.2
- IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1
- JBoss 4.2.0 CR1
Supported Libraries
FireStorm/DAO offically supports the following libraries and specifications:
- EJB 2.1
- EJB 3.0 (JPA)
- Hibernate 3.2.2 GA
