FireStorm/DAO is a Java development tool that generates high quality Java source code for accessing data stored in a relational database schema. FireStorm/DAO generates a complete persistence tier based on the Data Access Object (DAO) design pattern and offers the choice of generating implementation code using the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API or Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) Entity Beans.
"Developers love writing code - except when it comes to repetitive JDBC statements or J2EE deployment descriptors", commented Andy Grove, Chief Arhictect of CodeFutures. "Using a tool such as FireStorm/DAO, a developer can generate complete data-access code in just a few minutes and get started on the more creative aspects of software development."
FireStorm/DAO will be available for general download as a release candidate from March 2003 and is planned to be generally available in June 2003 .
